Fraud Complaint in Covid19

COVID VACCINE TRACKER

Facebook has partnered with the Government of India and will begin rolling out its Vaccine Finder tool on the Facebook mobile app in India this week. The tool will be available in 17 languages and will help people identify places nearby to get the vaccine. Moreover, the tool will also show walk-in options and a link to register on the CoWin website and schedule vaccination appointments. This tool can be accessed in the COVID-19 Information Center.

The Telegram bot Under45.in can help you check for vaccine slot availability. To use Under45.in, simply head over to the site and choose the Telegram notification option on the bottom, under the State and District options. Here you will see another similar page with State and District options. Proceed by entering your State and District. Users will then be redirected to a channel that is specific to their districts, which they can join to see detailed slot availability data like which center has available slots, the number of slots available, and the availability date. The Telegram channel will relay this information in the form of messages, the frequency of which will be determined by the number of centers and availability of vaccines near you. The messages you get in the channel will also include what vaccine is available (Covaxin/Covishield).

There are a few other tools/websites as well that will alert you, including GetJab.in and FindSlot.in. However, since these tools are email-based they could be affected by high traffic and may not be as reliable. Please update us to update this Covid19 Help and Resources Directory if the app updated the information.

Paytm COVID-19 vaccine finder:
How to check COVID-19 vaccine slots availability on Paytm

Open the Paytm app and keep scrolling down. The Vaccine Finder option can be seen in the β€˜Discover with Paytm’ Section. You will have to scroll below Paytm Mall to get to this option. The solution on Paytm lets users search by Pin code or district, and select between 18+ and 45+ age groups. Tap on Check Availability to see open slots. In case no slots are available you can also click on the β€˜notify me when slots are available’ tool to get alerts when the slot opens up. Please update us on Whatsapp ( 9873646321) to update this Covid19 Help and Resources Directory if the app updated the information.

Covid-19 Vaccine Tracker by Amit Agarwal

This open-source tool has been created by developer Amit Agarwal and works in a Google Doc sheet. The script which is available on Github can be used to set up email alerts, though you will need to give Google account access to the developer. The tool is based on public CoWIN API and will automatically monitor vaccine availability near your location and will send email alerts as stocks become available. It also lets you set up preferences for Covaxin or Covishield if you have these.

Here’s how to access this Google Sheet

You will have to make a copy of the Vaccine Tracker Google Sheet in your Google Drive. It is best to do this on a desktop computer. ( Click the link given below)

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NPBFLOvNpqGMKUzPEMKRczmV9nNer6Ysv8pEPhOsuPI/copy

Click the Vaccine Tracker menu (near the Help menu) and choose Enable for the script. Google will warn you against giving permissions, but you will have to grant access for the tool to show up.

Once the tool appears, you can enter pincodes (for more than one pincodes use a comma to separate), the email address where you want the alerts to come and the age group for which you need to monitor vaccine availability.

You can specify the start date and vaccine availability will be checked only after that date. You can also decide how often the tool should check for slots.

The vaccine availability is checked every day by default. But you can change the frequency to every 4 hours or even every hour.

HOW WE SEARCH FOR RESOURCES ON SOCIAL APPS

Facebook:
Usually, we make a public post on our timeline, and use appropriate hashtags, like #covidsos, #oxygendelhi, and so on. Additionally, we have joined many local groups, so when we use the same hashtags on FB search, FB pulls all the related queries from the groups we have joined. Choose the most recent query made with the same hashtag, and check the leads in the comments. We also post our queries in the local city groups, that we have joined. Please don’t ask for help from a LOCKED PROFILE.

Twitter:
Twitter has emerged as one of the main spaces where people are posting calls for help and others are amplifying these SOS calls. They also have a dedicated COVID-19 hub where users can go via the Explore tab, which is the magnifier symbol at the bottom of your Twitter page.

Users will see live event pages, Public Service Announcements (PSAs), and other information here. The COVID-19 SOS page is also here in the Explore tab. The SOS page has tweets, leads, other information to help those who are looking for help on the platform.

You can also tweet or search with the #Covid19IndiaHelp to see what others have tweeted regarding help in their city.

Another useful resource for finding information is https://covid19-twitter.in/, which is a simple aggregator tool, that lets you search for medicines, ventilators, oxygen cylinders, etc for your city. Make sure you tick the right boxes and the results will show some verified leads for the concerned information.

If you are in Delhi, you may tag, Dilip Pandey (AAP), Charu Pragya (BJP), BV Srinivas (Indian Youth Congress), for a quicker response.

Instagram:
On Instagram, many influencers are amplifying SOS calls by their followers for help. It would be best to tag them in your Stories and see if they can repost and share your call.

You might have to make your account public so that your Stories get more views as well and are shared widely.

If posting on Stories, make sure you clearly outline the needs, similar to Twitter. Highlight the need clearly, be it hospital bed or ventilator or oxygen cylinder or even the medicines. The name of the patient, the blood group, the age, SPO2 levels, contact information for the attendant will also help when you are posting on Instagram.

Allow your friends and followers to share or repost your Stories as well so that they can spread it in their networks.

Telegram
The groups on Telegram where you can find some help are ICLU: Covid Response and Covid Resources Pan India. You can search for these groups in the Telegram app and join them since they are public groups.

Truecaller
Truecaller has launched a Covid Hospital Directory for users in India. The directory is built into the app and can be accessed from either the menu or the dialer, according to the company.
